We had a great Father's Day this year. It was great to celebrate what a great Dad Jason is! Jason is the kind of dad who takes lots of time to hang out with his kids and loves to teach them new things. He leaves no room for doubt that he truly loves them! This year we joined with our friends the Schurchs to take the dads on a treasure hunt. A couple of days before Father's Day Shelby, the kids and I went to Campbell Valley Park and hid a box of "treasure" in the park. It was meant to be a geocache but do you think we could find either of our husbands gps's? Of course, these treasured possesions were well hidden from anyone who might want to find them. So, instead, we made clues for them to find the treasure box. Jason and Eric were very good finders especially with the help of kids who already knew where the treasure was. Their treasure was chocolate and candy and cards the kids had made them. Afterwards, we enjoyed a yummy picnic in the park. It was great to celebrate the day with great friends.
For dinner, we went to Jason's dad's house for a Luck of the Pot dinner. Nobody knew what anyone else was bringing and it turned out to be a delicious meal. We were glad Jason's sister Darla survived the lack of a plan! Jason took some great pictures of the family altogether. Here's the best shot!

Looks like a lot of fun! Keira looks so cute in her fathers day outfit!! I like how the kids were excited about their daddy's treasure. Such good ideas you always have of how to celebrate important events in your lives!! Miss You...every day I miss you!
