Heron Reserve and Bridal Falls

This Saturday we decided to go out and enjoy our day together as a family. We headed out to Chilliwack and went to a heron reserve out there. It was a beautiful peaceful place to go for a walk. We saw one heron that was scared away when we walked across the bridge but the highlight for the boys were the slugs that we saw every 5 feet. They stopped and looked at every one making for a very short and slow walk. We even climbed up a lookout tower which made me very nauseous as the stairs were metal with holes in them (I'm afraid of heights). Aidan seems to have developed my fear of heights but Michael was fearless as he is about everything. We stayed at the park and had a picnic and then headed out to Bridal Falls. Friends of ours were camping out there and had a birthday party for someone in our Care Group. Most of our Care Group was there and we had such a nice time hanging out with everyone. The boys loved playing with their friends, going to the park and finding a geocache. Later on, we hiked up to Bridal Falls which was spectacular. Aidan said his favorite part of the trip was playing with the tennis rackets and Michael liked the waterfall. These pictures are from our day. Obviously, Jason was the photographer as there are none of him in these. I'll have to remember to get him in some shots next time.
